Job Description R & D Chemist Core Purpose: Reporting to R&D Head / Leader regarding the new developments in Industrial formulas. Supervising the work of Industrial Chemist in developing and formulating of new products in Industrial paints. Responsibilities: 1-Develop formulation and processes for new products in the lab. 2-Improve the existing formulas/products. 3-Identify new and emerging technologies that could be relevant to developing new products or improving existing processes. 4-Investigate raw material substitutions for existing products for quality improvements and/ or cost reduction purposes. 5-Liaise with raw material suppliers for supply of chemicals crucial for development programs. 6-Assist with plant trials and provide technical support to manufacturing. 7-Interface with marketing, sales, manufacturing and technical service personnel to support the existing business. 8-Participate in cross-functional product development teams. 9-Use first-hand customer information to improve/develop products and services. 10-Understands and applies all Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) personal and operational requirements. Qualifications & Skills: 1-Bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
