Position Title: Mid-Level Civil/Structural Engineer Requisition Number: 7 Location: Jordan Job Summary: This requisition is for a supervision civil engineer with structural engineering experience. The responsibilities of this engineer are split into Design and Supervision as follows: Design: 1. Development and review of designs for civil works such as o Drainage; o Utilities; o Fencing; o Horizontal infrastructure (roads); and o Commissioning requirements 2. Development and review of designs for structural works such as o Current and future load/stress calculations; o Foundations; o Selecting appropriate construction material; o Provide technical advice; o Obtaining planning and/or building regulations approval; o Working with other disciplines, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of construction; o Work with geotechnical engineers to investigate ground conditions and analyze results of soil teesting; o Use AutoCAD and other computer-aided design software for simulation and drawings; and o Analyse configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structure Supervision: 1. Supervise the works of the contractor to ensure a quality construction is done; 2. Monitor the safety of the individuals at site and the site conditions, giving instructions to workers when necessary; 3. Coordinate daily meetings with the contractor to ensure organization and on-time delivery; and 4. Preparation of weekly reports including photos and status of each overall task; Minimum Requirements: • Civil/Structural Engineering bachelor degree or above; • 5 years of experience in Civil/Structural design and supervision; • Computer literacy; • Fluency with AutoCAD • Fluency with structural and civil engineering drawings; • Excellent oral and written communication • Strong mathematical ability • Ability to travel to site (sometimes daily) • Have good interpersonal skills, teamwork skills and project management skills. Communication and coordination ability with the parties of the project, team building ability, strong execution ability. • Ability to deal with difficult situations Preferred Qualifications: • 7 years of experience in Civil/Structural design and supervision; • Familiar with the Middle East local design regulations, has extensive experience in the design and comprehensive technical capabilities • Good analytical and problem-solving skills; • Three-dimensional conceptual skills; • Diagrammatic skills; Apply on: http://3g-contects.com/job-application.php?id=121
