Location: Riyadh - KSA Department: Research & Development Position Title: Electrical Engineer – R&D (HVAC Systems, Power Electronics & Control) Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and proactive Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team. You will play a critical role in developing innovative electronic systems for air conditioning and commercial refrigeration applications. This hands-on role demands expertise in power electronics, motor control, and embedded systems tailored to HVAC environments. Key Responsibilities: Design and simulate analog/digital control circuits for HVAC systems from concept to implementation. Develop power conversion circuits (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) and motor drive systems for compressors and fans. Integrate control systems with HVAC components such as compressors, heat exchangers, sensors, and actuators. Ensure reliability, thermal performance, energy efficiency, and compliance with industry standards (UL, IEC, ISO, AHRI, etc.). Implement feedback control loops using temperature, pressure, humidity, and airflow sensors. Create schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts in coordination with design teams. Lead validation and compliance testing, including environmental stress testing. Optimize energy usage via control algorithms and variable-speed motor technologies. Conduct technical research on emerging HVAC electronic technologies and smart control methods. Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering teams to support product development. Document technical designs, iterations, and test results. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Industrial Control Engineering or related field. Strong knowledge of power electronics, analog/digital circuit design, and EMC principles. Proficiency with SolidWorks Electrical, Altium Designer (or similar) for schematic/PCB design. Experience with HVAC motors (BLDC, ECM, PMSM) and drive systems. Understanding of inverter topologies, resonant converters, and advanced PWM techniques. Skilled in using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and power test equipment. Experience with MATLAB/Simulink for system modeling and simulation. Embedded C programming for real-time control is a strong advantage. Familiarity with safety and environmental compliance standards. Preferred: Background in HVAC system behavior and refrigeration cycles. Why Join Us?
